At this time there are more than 350 different small (so-called 'urban') windturbines listed on the allsmallwindturbines website: this website also uses 'sponsored' advertisements of products that are sold making false statements.

Up until 2010 the Wind Industry Associations still lack clear Quality Standardizations, which discredits the good Windturbine manufacturers.

Products that are designed using "radical" ideas, usually are dangerous items:

Products that are made cheap are usually dangerous items.
When looking for a working Windturbine, always require 2 Power Curve tables: one In Windtunnel testing, the second from Field-Tested.
Require International testing specification certificates, which will give you a good indication of product safety.
Require actual field tested examples, ask for movies, photos and other test-results.

Just keep into account the laws of physics:
The more items are put onto a wind turbine, the more can break/damage. Remember Nature's wind can be VERY destructive, so if it looks like unsafe, chances are it will break easily.

The wind has to touch the product with LAMINAR wind: this is wind moving from "left to right". it is IMPOSSIBLE for a wind turbine to harvest power from Turbulent winds.

The system behind Wind turbines is based on the SWEPT AREA.
it is the TOTAL ARE THAT THE WIND CAN HIT.

So the Wind can only provide a certain amount of wind to a windturbine, this is explained in Betz Law.

The Wind turbine concept revolves around EQUALLY IMPORTANT factors:
1- Laminar Wind
2- Good Tower (Pole)
3- High positioning
4- Good Quality Wind turbine (key is blades safety)
5- Good Power processing once harvested by Wind turbine (Inverter,Power Box)

How about the warranty ? How about Certified Installation to warrant the guarantee ? What more is included/required for a complete working Product ? What is the Products designed Lifetime (in years) ?
Convince yourself that there are NO hidden items on the agenda which will HURT you after your purchase.

Would you buy a product for 1,000.00 which lives 3 years and provides the capacity to let 1 light bulb burn the whole year, or would you rather buy a Quality product that costs 10,000.00 which will live you 15 years trouble free and cut's more than 50% off of your electricity bill ?
